NEW TIME, NEW FORMAT AND ‘NEW’ HOSTS
Hosted by Brian and Krysstal, Katoomba Comedy Club returns on 6 March, with a BIGGER LINE-UP at the EARLIER TIME of 7.30pm.
The earlier start time sees the introduction of an extra act to the monthly line-up.

SIMON KENNEDY (headliner)
A comedian (and award-winning voice artist) with a track record of over 12 years, as writer, broadcaster and stand-up comedian, Simon Kennedy is one of the most renowned corporate entertainers in Australia today. Simon is well-known on The Show With No Name which he hosted for five years, and he has also made a name for his performances on Nova 96.9 FM’s Kennedy & Philp. This is what bears testimony to the highly versatile, intelligent, insightful and extremely talented stand-up comedian called Simon Kennedy.
PETER WILLEY (opening act)
Peter is an accomplished stand-up comedian, singer and guitarist. He has appeared in the vast majority of the top professional comedy clubs on the eastern seaboard as well as proving a favourite on the Folk & Country music circuits.
From the familiar turmoil of countless Aussie weddings, to the trials of social ostracism due to inappropriate footwear, Peter’s material is rich with humour. As a seasoned stand-up, a versatile feature performer or a confident and capable Master of Ceremonies, Peter Willey is certain to impress and delight. Catch him – he is funny!
PEAR SHAPED (middle section)
Introducing the mad middle section – could be great, could all go Pear-Shaped… this section will have two acts doing their thang, trying stuff out and possibly creating confusion and chaos to the evening. With Brian and Krysstal adding their unique compering style into the mix.

BRIAN AND KRYSSTAL ( MCs)
Your ‘new’ KCC hosts for 2026 – A unique musical comedy double act with over 22 years’ experience in the UK (including semi-finalists on Britain’s Got Talent), they now live in the Blue Mountains. Brian is infamously grumpy and deadpan, while his assistant Krysstal is glamorous but ditzy. The combination is unique and very funny. Their timing is exquisite, their humour dry and sometimes bawdy. For many they ran the Pear-Shaped Comedy Clubs in London, Edinburgh and Sydney, and will bring their oddball style to hosting the monthly nights at the Avalon in Katoomba.
Sit back, grab yourself a drink from the bar, and get ready to laugh yourself silly. Or, why not book a table for dinner at Avalon before the show.
