World citizen, EPIZO Bangoura is one of Africa's leading percussionists and west African Dance instructors. He is also a stunning Kora player (the African harp) and singer songwriter.
A former member of the famous * Ensemble koteba * of ivory coast was born into a family of Griots, highly respected and honoured members of this community of musicians and storytellers, keepers of their ancestral traditions and customs, a truth living memory of Africa, Epizo immortalize his culture through his songs, music , dance and legends. His band African Express was nominated at the ARIA Music Awards of 2001 for their album, Inchallah, which was nominated for Best World Music Album.
