Every dream you’ve ever had of stepping back to the 1930’s dimly lit theatre lobby, listening to live jazz piano while you sip a martini or glass of wine, come to life at the Piano Parlour.

Avalon DOWNSTAIRS presents an evening of cool music by two young Blue Mountains piano virtuosos - Matthew Dennett and Robbie Mann - in the charming art-deco Savoy Theatre foyer. This week the music will be provided by Matt Dennett.

It’s the perfect spot to socialise with friends as our menu of small plates is designed to share, or perhaps just drop in for a drink before or after dinner.

Join us for the Piano Parlour DOWNSTAIRS at Avalon, Saturdays from 7pm-10pm.

(excluding the 2nd Saturday of the month)

ROBBIE MANN

Robbie Mann is an exciting young piano virtuoso who specialises in an early jazz piano idiom known as 'Stride'. It is a technically demanding and dazzling piano style, with the pianist expected to undertake the role of a rhythm section in the left hand alone!

Robbie is a recently returned Blue Mountains local and released his debut solo album, recorded in Wentworth Falls at Underwood Studios, at the end of 2019. He has studied Classical piano at the Australian National University, played with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, conducted musicals, performed with comedy, cabaret and burlesque acts whilst regularly working with the finest early jazz musicians around the country.
