Saxophonist Craig Walters and pianist Gary Daley perform jazz standards from the "American Song Book" and some original pieces from Craig. Their music has an emphasis on improvising that is intimate and melodic. Craig and Gary have performed together in many different situations, particularly Gary’s own band “Heavy Weather”.
Craig Walters has worked as a professional musician in Sydney since 1985, during that time he has been a much sought after soloist in many bands, he has worked with everyone from James Morrison to Marcia Hynes, Bob Mintzer, Michael Bublè, Don Rader Quintet, Mike Nock Quartet, Dave McCrae Quartet, Mark Isaacs Quartet, Sydney All Star Big Band, Sydney Jazz Orchestra and many others.
Gary Daley is best known as a musician playing in some of the elite bands of Australian jazz; currently James Greening’s band Greening from Ear to Ear and the jazz-world music band The catholics. He leads the quartet Bungarribee which features his own compositions and interpretations from the classical repertoire. Gary plays acoustic and electric piano, organ and also the piano accordion. Another side to Gary is his appearances weekdays on the ABC TV children’s channel in the pre-school show Lah Lah’s Adventures.
